I have always had a love for putting outfits together and in high school I really started exploring that fascination. After graduating and starting college I quickly realized the only thing I really wanted to study was fashion. I grew up in a small town Albany, OR and luckily for me the town right nextdoor Corvallis, OR had an apparel design program! So thats where I set my sights. Growing up I was always a creative person and learning that my mom grew up sewing and had sewn her own wedding dress solidified it was really in my blood.

I had a goal I didn’t just want to learn the garment industry I wanted to create my own brand and identity in fashion. Then in 2021 KAOTIC was born! I started creating all the time but not from scratch. My favorite thing to do was go thrifting and collect pieces that I could see different life in. Still to this day I thrift most of the materials that I work with, however now most are deconstructed to their bones before repurposed into something knew.

I graduated From Oregon State University in the Fall of 2023 with a Bachelors degree in Apparel design. You can now find me in Portland, Oregon making a name for my brand while deciding where I want to end up next!

The garment industry is one of the largest polluters in the world. For that reason learning how to create sustainably is the most important idea for a brand to focus on. I am happy to be a slow fashion brand that still makes quality garments you can be proud of!
